Involvement and Support

Our students, faculty, and staff are passionate about solving problems, and not just by using business and technology. We’re committed to helping people in need, especially in and around our campuses, through community service and outreach.

Community Outreach's mission is to engage students in meaningful service activities that enrich their learning and enhance the quality of life for others in our local, national and international communities.

Students during Monthly Umuganda

Monthly, Our Students and Staff pick tools; hoes or a machete to clean up their neighbourhood. It could be helping to construct a house for a homeless family, or repair a damaged bridge.

Umuganda, also known as community work with the purpose to contribute to the overall national development was reintroduced to Rwandan life in 1998 as part of efforts to rebuild the country after the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Today, it takes place on the last Saturday of each month from 8a.m. and lasts for at least three hours.
