It was a very remarkable evening during the handover of Guild Council at University of Rwanda (UR) Gikondo Campus on 3rd January 2020. The handover featured different key points of different speakers that were in line with the day.
While reflecting on his mandate, the former Guild President of the UR Gikondo Campus Steven Miira appreciated the contribution of the University of Rwanda which made the mandate to be fruitful. He also thanked his team for their effort and working toward a common goal. He mentioned different achievements and some of them include but not limited to making advocacy for students, participating in different university competition, carrying out community outreach where they renovated a house of one resident of Gikondo and attending different inter-university debate competitions among.
Incoming Guild Council Commitee
He called on ongoing committee to not only serve the students but also become best performers in their studies which marks as a factor of a good leader. Miira also extended his plea to UR management to keep hearing from the new leaders.
Robinson Mushabe the incoming Guild President appreciated the students for choosing him and his team to be their representatives. He noted that they can do nothing if there is no collaboration between the committee and students. He also requested students to comply to the UR policies and requested the support from the UR.
Dr Gasheja, the Principal of CBE
Dr. Faustin Gasheja UR Gikondo Campus Principal appreciated former committee for hard work and assured continued support to the new committee.
“We are here to support you in whatever support you may need” Gasheja assured while urging the new committee to work as a team.
