Biography :
Mr. Stany BANZIMANA is a Strategic and Business Development Manager for the EAC Regional Centre of Excellence for Vaccines, Immunization and Health Supply Chain Management (EAC RCE-VIHSCM) hosted by the University of Rwanda on behalf of the six EAC Countries (Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and South Sudan) and his key responsibility is to advise and support the implementation of the Centre's Business Plan, Stakeholders and Development Partners engagement, as well as Funds mobilization for the long-term sustainability of the Centre.

He is one of the four members and staff appointed by the University of Rwanda to work on the establishment of the Centre of Excellence since 2014 and was tasked to development the Centre's Business Plan which Business was approved by the University Senior Management, Board of Governors and EAC Steering Committee Meeting. He holds a Master Degree in Public Procurement Management for Sustainable Development from the University of Torino (UNITO), Italy in 2012 and studied Monetary Economics at Undergraduate level. Mr Stany has been serving as the Head of Department of BBA Procurement and Coordinator of the Master of Public Procurement Management for Sustainable Development, a twinning arrangement program between the University of Rwanda-College of Business and Economics, University of Torino and the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITC-ILO) of Turin, Italy. He is currently involved in research, training and teaching Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain related topics at the EAC RCE-VIHSCM as well as in the School of Business of the College of Business and Economics and he served as Acting Research Coordinator for the EAC RCE-VIHSCM where he coordinated the recent study on "EAC Pooled bulk Procurement and Cross-border Supply Chain for Reproductive Health Commodities" under the Financial Support from UK-DFID through UNFPA ESARO Regional Office.

Under his headship as the Coordinator of Procurement Management Program (Undergraduate, Short-term Professional courses and Master Degree Program), over 500 public and private candidates have been trained in various topics of Public Procurement Management. He is one of the team tasked by the University of Rwanda, Ministry of Public Service and Labour and National Employment Service Board to develop a proposal and implementation of the Transportation and Logistics Sector under World Bank Financing.

8. Areas of research :

Mr. Stany has recently been admitted as a PhD Student at the University of Rwanda, School of Business and he is assessing the impact of the Supply Chain System design for Vaccines on the overall Immunization coverage in the EAC Countries with a focus to Rwanda and Kenya in the first two years of research (2018-2020). Mr. Stany is also interested in research in the area of Public Procurement Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Health Supply Chain Management.

9. Publications :

His first research at Master's Thesis was on "Benchmarking Assessment of Differences in Prices for Acquisition of Standard user items. A case study of Rwanda's Higher Learning Institutions". In his research, he discovered that higher learning institutions located in Kigali City, and having the same source of funding and purchasing the same quality-items purchased them at different unit prices which lead to continuous increasing of Government's expenses for standard user items. He recommended the a number of practical and managerial solutions to the issue which include the use of "Framework Agreement and a certain level of centralization of the procurement system which could lower Government's and Procuring Entities' expenses on standard user items.

I hold a BSc of IT Applications in Management from former National University of Rwanda since 2006 and have worked as an IT Technician before joining academia in 2009. I obtained my MBA-MIS in 2011 from Maastricht School of Management in The Netherlands and since I am teaching in Business Information Technology, UR-CBE.

I have trained staff in Rwanda, Burundi and Congo DR on IT essentials, how to use Moodle and on scientific writing and online publication.

Biography :
I have a Doctorate of Philosophy in Business Administration and Management (PhD), specialization of Banking and Finance. I have also Master's Degree in Business Administration from Amity University (India) and a Post graduate diploma in quantitative and qualitative research methods.

My interests overall concern promoting quantitative and qualitative research. My research specializes on financial institutions (Banks and Insurances). My career track record includes more than 7 years as lecturer in higher learning institutions, 3 years as a programme development and coordinator, 2 years as an entrepreneur, and over 5 years in administration both management and finance and doing research and consultancies. I am currently working at University of Rwanda teaching different courses in Banking and Insurance department. Jonas BARAYANDEMA is a Senior Lecturer and Ag Dean of the School of Business, College of Business and Economics at the University of Rwanda. He held numerous previous administrative positions including, Head of Department of Management, MBA Programme Coordinator and Deputy Dean. He has served as a chair or member of numerous ad hoc, conference and workshop program committees. He holds a PhD Degree in management from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium).

Biography :
Jean Bosco SHEMA is holder of a Masters Degree in Finance and Accounting from Liege University and is currently a PhD Student in Jönköping University in Sweden in Business Administration with orientation in Accounting. I started my academic career in 1999 with the former National University of Rwanda in the Faculty of Economics, Social and Management Sciences. I held different academic administrative positions such as Secretary of the Department, Secretary of the Faculty and Vice-Dean of the Faculty and Advisor to the Vice-Rector of Administration and Finance.

In addition to my Academic background, I worked with the Private Sector where I worked as Director of Finance and Administration in various institutions.

Area of research

My area of research is Accounting and Finance especially in Advanced Financial Reporting. Currently, my PhD Research focuses on the adoption and implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards in Developing Countries. A heed is given to the adoption both to the country and firm levels. At the country level, attention is given to the process of adoption while at the firm level the measurement of Accounting Quality in Banks using Earnings Management and Timely Loss Recognition is the focus.

Biography :
NDIBWIRENDE Jean Claude is an Assistant Lecturer and Coordinator of Bcom and OAM programs at University of Rwanda, College of Business and Economics, School of Business.

He is a holder of Bachelor degree in Accounting Sciences obtained from former National University of Rwanda in 2007. He obtained a Master of Finance and Control from Amity University Utter Pradesh (India) in 2011. He also pursued a Post Graduate Certificate of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGC LT HE) offered by University of Rwanda - College of Education.

After occupied different administrative positions in different periods of time, he joined academic area at University of Rwanda – College of Business and Economics on the position of Assistant Lecturer since October 2012 to date.
