Since its creation in August 2012 the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) is working closely with scientific and technical expertise from academia, civil society, and the private sector in support of sustainable development problem solving at local, national, and global scales. More particularly, the Great Lakes SDSN which was launched in July 2014 and is hosted by the University of Rwanda-College of Business and Economics has been providing platforms to high learning institutions in the region to rethink what role they should play and their involvement in the implementation of SDGs. Member of the SDSN Great Lakes are from Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Tanzania and Kenya.&lt;br class='autobr' /&gt;
